Rotary District Bowling Tournament 2008

The 3^rd District Bowling Tournament was held at Excel World, Darley Road, Colombo 10 on 26^th April 2008.

Each team had 5 members and 13 teams participated in the first round where the 10 teams with the highest scores went on to a second and final round to compete for the Governor’s Trophy.

The Event started at 6 pm and with Dinner at 9.30 pm. Rotary Club Mid Town were the talented winners with Colombo Down Town being first runner-up. Shirantha Perera of Rotary Club Colombo Down town was the proud winner of the prize for the highest score. Pictures on our site.

District Assembly Awards 2008

Following Awards were received by Rotary Club Down Town. Bravo!!!!!!!

a) District Citation 2007/8.

b) Citation for balanced Activities.

c) Citation for recognition of organising the "District Membership Seminar".

d) Citation for introducing 3 members or more.

e) Citation for the President , having introduced the "CLP"

f ) Citation for the President , for "Meritorios Leadership".

g) RI Presidential Citation will be awarded at the BMICH on 16th by President Wilf Wikinson.
